Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has reiterated his administration commitment to implement transformative programmes to fast track sustainable social and economic development of the state.
Mohammed made this known in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Mukhtar Gidado, on Saturday in Bauchi, as part of activities to mark the Democracy Day celebration.
Mohammed said that his administration was fully committed to changing the inherent negative narratives of the state, saying:“we are executing projects in accordance with the existing blue print.’’
He noted that his administration has executed meaningful and beneficial projects in the past two years across the state.
“We have taken the path to societal growth and we shall remain focus and steadfast in making Bauchi a reference point in infrastructural and human development,” he said.
The governor acknowledged the courage and patriotism of all democrats who stood by his administration, adding:“we shall continue to march forward to greatness with sincerity of purpose.’’
The governor also felicitated with Nigerians for observing the historic occasion of the Democracy Day and called for sustained prayers and good wishes to the nation.
He added that the state would in the near future to compete favourably with its equals considering the pace of development in infrastructure, security, agriculture, education, health and water supply in spite of the dwindling revenue. (NAN)
