Arena Communications Ltd, Publishers of the National Sports Link, was established in 1991, by Late High Chief (Dr) Ejikeme E. Nzeh.
Late Ejikeme Nzeh who hailed from Umuakali Naze in Owerri North Local government, Imo state, was a successful businessman and sports enthusiast.
The maiden copy of the National Sports link stormed the news stands as a weekly publication after it was launched on the 22nd of August 1992, at the National Arts Theater Iganmu, Lagos.
With its motto: Celebration of Sporting excellence, National Sports link, became a daily publication that served the people truthfully.
It supplied stories through unflinching commitment to free enterprise, the rule of law and good governance.
However, the paper was launched by late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (M.K.O), GCFR. The master of Ceremony at the occasion was Segun Odegbami. The African Cup Winners’ Cup Champion.

With the above listed names, the paper developed a rich heritage as the most entertaining, refreshing, authoritative, detailed and sports friendly newspaper in the Country.
With the changes in Nigeria’s political system, the paper slept off early 2000. Miffed with the low reportage and bias treatment of sports stories, High Chief Obinna K. Ejikeme-Nzeh, Son of the Late High Chief (Dr) Ejikeme E. Nzeh, on July 31, 2019, breathe life again to the paper with a new Ownership, ‘The Bizieobi Global Ltd’, this time ‘the online version’.
