Former Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel, has reportedly turned down a move to Russian club Krylia Sovetov and would join English Championship outfit Stoke City instead.
Reports said the ex- Chelsea anchorman was previously contacted by Krylia Sovetov and offered him a salary of $1.2 million per season but he turned down the offer.

The English side, therefore, is on the brink of confirming Mikel’s signing on a one-year deal.
The 33-year-old had also played for Tianjin Teda, Lyn Oslo, and Middlesbrough in the past.
