Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Super Eagles goalkeeper, has agreed to rejoin Heartland. He has signed a two-year contract.
Ezenwa has played for Sunshine Stars, Enyimba and lately Katsina United. Since leaving Heartland in 2011, Ezenwa has had successful stints with the above mentioned teams.
Confirming the story, a source who prayed to National Sports Link to hid his identity opined, “Yes it is true that we have concluded on a deal with Heartland FC.
“It is as good as done and dusted – Ezenwa will be playing for Heartland in the next season.
“Heartland has proved to be ambitious for the coming season, they gave a good offer and they look like a team who are set to go all out in the coming season, and that’s the reason we decided to settle for them.
“The player is pleased to play in Owerri considering that his families are based there. “Come Wednesday, we will sign the dotted lines with the management of Heartland.”
