Pastor Kelechi Nzeh of the Four Square Gospel Church (Solution Center , Oremeta Ojodu), On Easter Sunday admonished Christians all over the world especially those in Nigeria to hold to their faiths and pray fervently for the cure of coronavirus. Disclosing this in his Easter message which he personally signed and sent to Nationalsportslink.com.ng, opined:
EASTER SUNDAY MESSAGE
Beloved people of God, we thank God Almighty for the privilege of seeing another season of Easter. Truly God has been full of compassion, gracious, longsuffering, plenteous in mercy (Psa 86:15) and truth towards each and every one of us. To him alone be all the glory in Jesus name.
This is the first time in the history of our church here that we are celebrating Easter services outside the church and, apart from each other. Although, we would have wished that all of us are physically together in God’s sanctuary and presence, savoring His blessings, grace, love and fellowship. Nevertheless, God in his infinite wisdom and mercy has arranged “the church in our homes and his omnipresent spirit will superintend over our services in the name of Jesus”. Please wish everyone, around you a happy Easter and a blessed celebration of his resurrection.
Monthly Theme: All round victory through Jesus Christ
Text: 1 Cor 15:55-57, 2 Cor 2:14
Topic: Celebrating the resurrection victory: The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and the grave is the greatest victory wrought by God for all mankind, particularly the children of light and is worth celebrating. It is the cornerstone of our faith and the bountiful hope of our future. We shall be looking at seven reasons among so many, for celebrating Christ’s resurrection victory.
Christianity& Faith in Christ became an “eternity reality” after the resurrection. If he did not rise from the dead, Christianity and faith in Christ would have been a huge lie and vanity (1 Cor 15:14-17)
The church and the entire body of Christ would not have been in place today and edified if Jesus resurrection did not take place. It was because of his resurrection that the church and all her gifted and potentialed saints in the body of Christ have their rightful places. (Eph 1:20-23, 4:7-16, 1 Cor 12:8-13- spiritual gifts).
Christ resurrection sealed our salvation and all things that accompany eternal life (1 John 5:11-12, Rom 5:21, Heb 6:9, John 10:10)
The church of Christ accessed power over Satan and his cohorts in the dark world through Jesus resurrection. This resurrection sealed Satan’s defeat (Luke 10:19, Col 2:12-15, Mark 16:17-18)
The resurrection of Jesus Christ sealed our divine healing, peace, deliverances over curses, stagnation\limitation, poverty\lack, death, sorrow, shame, sin and iniquity etc.
Resurrection of Christ gave all saints “a future and a hope” (Jer 29:11, Eph 2:12-13, 1 Cor 15:19-20 in God, John 14:1-4)
Jesus resurrection and conquests guaranteed his exaltation and reign as Lord of all and made us to sit together with him in the place of Majesty on high (Phil 2:9-11, Eph 2:6)
How do we celebrate this resurrection victory?
Put it to work (Activate it) in all depts. of your life until you put it to work, the victories will remain only in principle.
How do you put it to work?: Believe what Christ has done for you and what you have recovered (John 11:40, Mark 9:23).
Believe it(Isa 53:1)- When you believe the full report of Calvary, the arm of the Lord is stretched out in your direction. “If thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God”(John 11:40).
Confess it: Christianity is called “the great confession”. Confession is affirming something that you believe (2 Cor 4:13); There is no faith without confession, “faith grows with your confession”
The reason why Majority of believers fail to appropriate salvation blessings is due to lack of confession our rights and privileges, faith never grows beyond your confession; Everytime you confess your resurrection victory, you are openly confessing that the word of God is true and God will make it good in your life & situation.
(You never enjoy the riches of grace until you confess it; Redemption never becomes a reality until you confess it) – whatever you cannot speak confidently about, don’t expect to see it come to pass.
Act on it: Live the victory! Apply the mystery of identifications.
Rom 6:3-11- Take with you the mentality that you went through all the process with him and are lifted with him (Eph 2:6).
Conclusion: The resurrection work of Jesus has given us all round victory and it is our responsibility to put it to work by believing, confessing and living by it on daily basis.
