Barcelona has appointed its former centre-back, Ronald Koeman, as a new manager following the sack of Quique Setien on Monday.
The ex-Real Betis manager was sacked by Barcelona board after the 8-2 drubbing by Bayern Munich in last week’s Champions League quarter-final in Lisbon.

Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, confirmed Koeman’s appointment to journalists on Tuesday evening.
“Koeman will be Barca’s coach next season,” Bartomeu told the side’s television channel.
