Ozil
Ex-German international, Mesut Ozil, has been left out of Arsenal’s 25-man squad for the Europa League group stages.
He is one of two senior players who had been cut by manager Mikel Arteta, whose 25-man squad for the competition is expected to include 17 non- locally trained players’.
The other player omitted from the squad is Greek defender, Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Ozil, who won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany, has not played a single minute since football’s restart in June following the COVID-19 enforced suspension of sporting activities across the world.
