Former Crystal Palace and Portsmouth player Jamie Vincent has passed away aged
- Vincent made 447 league appearances in a career that also included spells at
Bournemouth, Huddersfield, and Derby Count, as well as several other EFL
Portsmouth released a short statement on Twitter saying: “We’re devastated to hear
that former Pompey defender Jamie Vincent has passed away. “Rest in peace, Jamie.”

And another former club Aldershot said: “Aldershot Town Football Club are deeply
saddened to learn former defender Jamie Vincent has passed away.
“Our thoughts go out to Jamie’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
Swindon Town said: “Swindon Town Football Club are incredibly saddened to learn of
the passing of former defender, Jamie Vincent.
“Our thoughts go out to all of Jamie’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.
RIP.”
Vincent achieved promotion to League One with Swindon in 2007 and played in all
three divisions in the EFL.
