A.C Milan Women Women suffered their first league defeat on Saturday as they lost
to Sassuolo
defending, poor build-up play, and poor passing.
The Rossonere played their first game back from the international break and looked
slightly disjointed compared to previous games. This was the second loss of the
season but the first in the league. Maurizio Ganz’s side struggled to break into the
match but kept getting hit hard on the counter-attacks. The side played a 3-4-2-1 but
was hit early on in the 15th minute by Dubcova with a long shot that beat Giuliani.

Sassuolo sat back and defended for most of the game forcing Milan to open up gaps
which they exploited. Early in the second half, the Rossenere were hit again off a
corner as Dongus connected ahead of anyone else. Milan hit the post later through
Stapelfeldt and some chances from Giacinti and Vero but alas it was not to be as the
game ended in a 2-0 defeat. The side takes on Napoli next weekend.
