Al Harrington, television actor, teacher, and businessman died Tuesday afternoon
after suffering a stroke last week, his family confirmed.
He was 85, When Harrington left the show he made a full-time commitment to
entertainment and became a Waikiki showroom headliner and recording artist.
According to the Hawaii News Now, Harrington’s family said he was hospitalized
recently. Born Tausau Ta’a in American Samoa, Harrington was best known for his
role as Detective Ben Kokua on the television series Hawaii Five-O.
Al Harrington also starred as Mamo Kahike on its 2010 reboot.
