A cyclist who was attacked by naked men in London
rampaged through the streets beating innocent bystanders before being arrested
and released by police.
The two men were spotted outside Elephant & Castle underground station on
Thursday at around 2.30 pm, one in their underpants and the other in the nude.
The cyclist, a 35-year-old hairdresser who wishes to remain anonymous, was on his
way to client’s house when he stopped at a set of traffic lights before he was
randomly knocked off his bike by one of the men who took a run and jump at him.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline about the experience, he explained that he had
initially feared it may be part of a terror attack after discovering other people had
been attacked by the pair.

He said: ‘I thought it was more of a shove, I didn’t realize they took a run up and took
a kick.
‘I went down and I got back up and then fell over again and actually the traffic all the
traffic went by and were like “oh my god what are they terrorists or something?”. It
was all very strange how it happened.
‘A guy came and helped me up and took me over to the side of the road and was like
“Are you alright?” and checked me out.
Then he was like “Yeah they’ve just beat up a few other people” so there was more
than one attack.
‘There were about four or five witnesses to a guy having his eye split open. They sat
him down and looked after him.’
After toppling over in the road he has been left with bruises on his palms, elbow and
shoulder and his bike and cycling glasses are left scratched.
Describing the moment he was kicked off his bike, he said: ‘For some reason, I wasn’t
looking the direction they were coming and I didn’t even notice them.
‘I didn’t hear or feel anything, I just felt like I was being shoved to the ground.
One part of the experience which particularly shocked the cyclist was the number
of police officers which appeared on the scene within seconds of it happening.
‘When I went to the other side of the road to speak to the guy who had also been
beaten up literally police came from every single direction, even unmarked cars,’ he
said.
‘It was all very strange and I was just shocked. I stayed to give a statement to the
police and they were like would you be willing to stand in court or press charges.
‘I said: “Well they f***** my glasses up and my bike’s all scratched so yeah”. I got
kicked in the middle of the road so I am willing to go through whatever is needed.

A Met Police spokesperson told MailOnline yesterday two suspects, aged 32 and 26,
were arrested after officers were called to Walworth Road SE1 to a report of the men
‘attacking people in the street’.
‘One was reported to be naked and the other wearing only underpants. Officers
attended,’ police said.
‘Two people were found suffering from minor injuries. Both said they had been
attacked by two men who then walked off. One was allegedly pushed off his bike and
the other assaulted.
‘The suspects, aged 32 and 26, were located and arrested following a struggle on
suspicion of indecent exposure and ABH.
‘Both men were taken to hospital under Section 3 of the Mental Health Act and later
returned to custody. They were then released under investigation.’
Guy Strafford-Taylor, who recorded the clip, can be heard letting out a slight laugh in
shock at what he had just witnessed.
