The fixture between the youth teams of Boston United and West Bridgford was called
to a halt by officials as paramedics rushed to administer life-saving treatment.
Three ambulance crews were called to West Bridgford’s home stadium on Regatta
Way in Nottinghamshire.
Freelance journalist Chris Williams tweeted: “Hug your loved ones, I’m at a FA Youth
Cup game this evening where a young player has suffered a SCA.
“Four shocks and still unresponsive, three ambulances on site.”
He added that fans had been asked to leave the stadium after being informed the
match would not continue.
NSL Learnt an eyewitness claimed the player was unresponsive despite receiving
multiple shocks from a defibrillator.
