Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea have agreed on terms ahead of a potential move from
Inter Milan this summer.
After seeing three bids rejected by Inter Milan, the west London outfit are readying
another offer – this time in the region of €130million (£110million) – for the Belgium
international as they attempt to reach an agreement.
over a five-year contract worth £212,000-a-week.
Lukaku had been reluctant to leave just a few weeks ago (despite the departure of
Lukaku has made it clear to the Inter hierarchy that he wants to make the move
but the financial package is not the motivating factor. The Belgian believes that he
has a better chance of winning trophies in London.
With personal terms sorted, all that remains is for the Blues to make an offer to the
Italians that they cannot refuse and the new bid being prepared is expected to be in
the region of €120/130 million, a figure that Inter Milan is likely to accept.
Furthermore, journalist Alfredo Pedulla also claims that Lukaku has requested to
be left out of Inter’s pre-season friendly against Parma on Sunday, which could hint
that an agreement is close.
