Celtic have offloaded Marian Shved to Belgian outfit Mechelen on a permanent deal.
The Ukrainian winger who impressed in the Jupiler League after a rocky start last
season has signed a contract until 2024.
It brings to an end an unhappy period for the winger in Glasgow, which began when
Brendan Rodgers admitted he was unaware of the player after he signed.
While the fee has not yet been disclosed, Shved had two years remaining on his deal
after making just three appearances for Celtic since moving in a £2million deal.
Last month he made it clear he was desperate to quit the Hoops and return to
He said: “I want to stay in Mechelen. I was never given a chance at Celtic. I got
the opportunity here that I didn’t get at Celtic.
