Belgium have squeezed into the quarter-final of Euro 2020 thanks to Thorgan
Hazard’s memorable strike in a 1-0 win over Portugal in Seville on Sunday night.
Roberto Martínez men will play Italy in the quarter-final after a seriously hard-fought
victory. The reigning champions Portugal were the better team for most of the game,
especially in the second half, Portugal had a string of chances over the half which
were either squandered or kept out by Belgium goalkeeper Thibault Courtois.
Belgium was resilient in defense and Thibaut Courtois only had a few relatively
straightforward saves to make.
