Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes is set to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are set to double the Portuguese playmaker’s current wages, after making
a huge impact since joining for £47million in January 2020. Fernandes, 26, still
has four years remaining on his current deal.
NSL Learnt Man United wants to reward him for his excellent form.
The Portuguese by contrast stands on 18 goals and 11 assists from 37 games and would
undoubtedly feel more confident of a sustained title challenge with the England captain
leading the line.
The attacking midfielder’s agent Miguel Pinto reportedly flew into Manchester last
Tuesday to hold face-to-face talks with United about a new contract.
The Red Devils are keen to wrap up talks before the Euros begin on June 11, during and
after which they will be primarily focused on doing any incoming and outgoing transfer
business. That includes a potential swoop for £150million-rated Spurs talisman Kane,
who wants to leave the north Londoners at the end of the season.
United are one of the main clubs keen, alongside Manchester City and Chelsea, and are
willing to put a huge financial package on the table to lure Kane in.
