Arsenal and Liverpool told to fork out £40m Yves Bissouma transfer fee by Brighton
Brighton have reportedly slapped a £40m price-tag on Yves Bissouma in response
to interest in the midfielder from Arsenal and Liverpool
Liverpool have tracked the 24-year-old all season as they search for a replacement
for Gini Wijnaldum who is expected to leave when his contract expires this summer.
NSL Learnt, Jurgen Klopp has gone as far as checking out his personality and
professionalism after being convinced by his on-field abilities to dictate games.
But Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is also desperate to capture the services of the
Mali international as he looks to overhaul his squad at the Emirates.
The Gunners want to pair Bissouma with Thomas Partey to produce a midfield capable
of competing against the best teams in the Premier League from next year.
The 24-year-old has made 33 Premier League starts this season under Graham Potter,
whose side have often produced performances far better than their league position
would suggest. Bissouma has been a key part of that, and as a result, has attracted
attention from clubs looking to bolster their midfield options this summer.
It is believed that the Seagulls have already started eyeing up potential replacements
for the player, they signed in 2018, with Reading’s Josh Laurent seen as a potential target.
