The boxing legend wants to focus fully on his upcoming bout with Logan Paul
the Unbeaten star is fighting YouTuber on June 6 in an exhibition contest in Miami
Mayweather publicly denied reports in January he had got engaged to Monroe
The 43-year-old undefeated champion proposed to Anna Monroe, 29, – lead dancer
at his Las Vegas club Girl Collection, shortly after news of their relationship was
revealed by The Sun earlier this year.
The Brit-American moved into his Vegas compound, which boasts 11 bedrooms, 14
bathrooms, and two guest houses when they started dating.
The American last fought on New Year’s Eve 2018 when he knocked out Japanese
kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in a crossover event.
It was announced last week he will face Paul, who lost his only previous professional
fight to fellow YouTuber KSI, in an exhibition bout on June 6 at Hard Rock Arena in
The fight was previously scheduled to take place in February but was postponed, and the
the pay-per-view event will now take place next month.
Despite the lack of fighting pedigree his opponent possesses, Mayweather is not taking
things lightly as he steps up his preparation.
‘Floyd asked Anna to move out because he wants to focus on his boxing as he prepares for
his next fights,’ a source told The Sun.
Anna has now moved back into her old apartment so Mayweather can focus on
preparing for his exhibition fight against Youtuber Logan Paul on June 6 and future
fights, the insider said.
‘Some of her friends think it’s strange because he lives in a huge mansion in Vegas with
11 bedrooms and two guest houses – so there’s more than enough room for him to have
his own space, but Floyd wanted her to go so he could focus.
‘Floyd is getting back into boxing more and more – even though he has supposed to have
retired. So everything is being put on hold for the time being.
”Anna has moved back into her old apartment. It’s been a stressful time for her but
she is understanding and she knows he is the one who calls the shots in their
relationship. ‘They are still together and she is supportive of him.’
The undefeated boxing legend perhaps received some extra motivation ahead of facing his no-mark opponent in the ring in May.
Speaking on his podcast IMPULSIVE, Paul was in a bullish mood when asked by co-host George Janko to rate his chances of beating Mayweather out of ten.
‘Ten, yeah,’ Paul said. ‘I can see how that sounds ridiculous.
‘But guess what Georgey? My whole fing life is ridiculous. None of this s makes sense.
‘Everyone’s always told me my whole life you know, the things I’ve accomplished weren’t possible until I did them.
‘The fact that I even got a fight with Floyd Mayweather was impossible. Oh, then it happened. So, like man, I’ve heard it all.
