Governor Okowa’s aide, Okiemute Sowho, has been gunned down
An aide of Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Comrade Okiemute Sowho has been shot dead
by gunmen suspected to be assassins.
Governor Okowa’s aide Sowho 40, also known as Daddy K, was a Special Assistant to
Okowa on Youth Development. was shot dead around 6 p.m. on Saturday
February 20, near a popular hotel along Akintola road close to the Adeniyi end
of the town.
NSL Learnt, the deceased had gone to check a building in the vicinity when the gunmen
surfaced from nowhere and opened fire on him, before fleeing the scene.

He was rushed to a private hospital in the area where the doctors confirmed him dead
on arrival before his remains were deposited in the mortuary.
The late Sowho assumed office last year. The state police command is yet to comment
on the development.
Sowho was a former Councillorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
in Ward 3 in Sapele Local Government Area.
He was a staunch supporter of Governor Okowa and was said to have just recently paid
the bride price of his second wife.
