US rapper Soulja Boy accused of rape
A former co-worker of US rapper Soulja Boy has accused him of raping her and beating her “so hard
she thought she was going to die”, according to a lawsuit filed on Thursday.
The woman, who cannot be named, has accused Soulja Boy, of multiple instances of sexual assault, holding her
hostage, subjecting her to a hostile work environment and failing to pay her wages.
The 30-year-old, real name DeAndre Way, was sued by his former personal assistant, In the lawsuit, she accuses
him of locking her in a room for three days and repeatedly raping her. She also alleges he physically and verbally
abused her, and that he withheld payment from her. Lawyer Neama Rahmani said the alleged victim was
“traumatized and filled with fear” by Way’s actions, and is seeking damages and a jury trial.
In a statement to TMZ, a representative for Way said: “He wouldn’t beat a woman or put his hands on a woman
this is nonsense.
In the lawsuit, the woman claims she began working for Way in 2018 and they developed a romantic relationship
in January 2019, with the abuse beginning the following month and continuing until August 2020.

After this incident, the abuse continued, as alleged in the report “on numerous occasions, and sometimes twice
in the day, [he] would inappropriately touch [her] body, pull her pants off and rape her”.
When she then attempted to leave, she was locked in a room without hot water for three days until she agreed to
stay, the lawsuit claims.
