Jose Mourinho refuses to support Frank Lampard amid Chelsea struggles
Tottenham manager José Mourinho has refused to offer his backing to Frank Lampard following reports claiming
that Chelsea are considering sacking the 42-year-old.
Chelsea have now lost five out of their last eight Premier League matches, and the club’s hierarchy are now
reportedly considering alternative options to Lampard as they feel his not the right man for the job.

However, the Spurs boss has turned down the opportunity to offer Lampard some words of encouragement
during Chelsea’s poor run of form. When asked during his press conference on Friday if he believes Chelsea will
stick with Lampard, Mourinho bluntly replied: ‘No, that’s not my problem at all.’
Lampard, meanwhile, insists he is not focusing on reports linking several managers with a move to Chelsea.
‘I don’t listen to it,’ said Lampard. ‘It’s only everywhere if you want to scroll through social media, I don’t do
that. I’m not stupid, I know what the pressure is that come with managing a top football club. ‘I only do my job,
it doesn’t matter to me.’
