Discovering and Developing your talent.
Talent is your natural ability to do something that others find difficult to do. You cannot create talent
but you can develop it.
An American bishop known as T. D. Jakes
are not in them; Preachers can only bring out things that God has only deposited in you”. Your talent is already
in you but you need to discover it and develop it. Rev. Penachy Ogbede said, “There is no one that is not gifted”.
How do you discover your talent??

There are various things we need to consider while discovering our talents and some of them are;
📌 Reflecting on yourself: Reflect on yourself in search of your talents, start by looking at your past. Look at the
things that you’ve done. Look at the things you’ve enjoyed. Look at the times when you really excelled. Ask
yourself questions like “What am I most proud of that I’ve done?” or “When was I so proud that I didn’t care what
anyone thought?” What do you have convictions about?? If you can provide the right answers to these
questions, you have discovered your talent.
Now there are various types of talent and I will be listing a few here.
✓Art
✓ Creativity
✓ Confidence
✓ Decision making
✓ Design
✓ Leadership
✓ Storytelling
✓ Maths etc.
Don’t forget that your talent is the gift that God gave you when you are coming to the world. A talent you don’t
discover, you can’t make use of.
If your talent is to write, then study more on how to write better and keep writing and publishing your write-ups
any chance you get it.
If your talent is to play football, then you should practice regularly. Whatsoever your talent is don’t let it lie
fallow.
