Mohamed Elneny tests positive for COVID-19
The Egyptian FA confirmed the positive result and that Elneny will now self-isolate under Covid-19 protocols.
The 28-year-old tested positive on Monday afternoon after arriving in Togo with his team-mates ahead of the

Mohamed Elneny is asymptomatic but he’ll now need to self-isolate for at least a fortnight and will
not be able to play again until he returns a negative result. That would rule Elneny out of at least the next three
matches, beginning with Sunday’s away game at Elland Park against Leeds United and followed by games
against Molde and Wolves.
The midfielder has had a surprise renaissance this season, becoming a first-team regular again under Mikel
Arteta after a spell away on loan.
