Marcus Rashford scores first hat-trick as Manchester United triumph over the Bundesliga leaders at
Old Trafford. Manchester United have taken control of their Champions League group after a big win
over RB Leipzig last night.
The Red Devils went ahead in the first half thanks to a lovely Mason Greenwood goal, and made the game safe
after the break when Marcus Rashford came off the bench to score a 16-minute hat-trick. Anthony Martial
had scored a penalty, giving United an emphatic 5-0 triumph over the Bundesliga leaders.
Marcus Rashford scores first hat-trick and becomes the second Manchester United player to score a hat-trick as a
substitute after Ole Gunnar Solskjær against Nottingham Forest in 1999
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “They do make you work, Leipzig. High press, counter-press, the intensity, we had to
dig deep and work hard for each other. Spaces open up when you’re winning. Today was a day we had to rest
a few, this season is relentless, we could use the squad.
