Suspicious package causes panic in a Manchester suburb
Hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes and businesses in a Manchester suburb while a
bomb squad and police investigated a suspicious package.
Greater Manchester Police have since given the all-clear and said there is ‘no risk to the public’.

Several major roads were cordoned off in the Hazel Grove area of Stockport after police responded to calls of a suspicious
package at a property at 4.15 pm.
The cordon will now be removed and residents will be free to go back to their homes.
The A6 London Road was closed from the Wilfred Wood to Torkington Road, while Chester Road was closed
by American Golf.
