Manchester United legend David Beckham is “lucky” after retiring from football, believes Jose Mourinho.
While giving Beckham a guided tour of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the former United boss said: “I have to say again you are lucky because you are one of the few guys that I see after their playing career and you [still] look like a player.
“The majority of guys, they have problems in here [in the back], problems in their knees, problems in their ankles.
“You will see these guys [the current players] when they finish their career it will be different,” he added in jest.
Beckham is a brand ambassador for AIA, who are Tottenham’s primary sponsors. AIA orchestrated the guided tour, and they have also released a series of videos, with one focusing on the former Real Madrid star’s interaction with Mourinho.
The 45-year-old has come a long way since making his first-team debut for United back in 1992 at the age of 17.
